REGISTRATION & INFORMATION DESKS
The Registration Desk will be located in the City Hall Main entrance from Friday morning. Anyone arriving on Thursday can pick up their badges in the Clayton Hotel, Pegasus Suite from 4 pm - 8 pm. We would ask that each chorus appoint one person to collect ID badges and lanyards for your chorus/quartet and distribute to your members. No individual badges will be given out from a chorus batch.
This year we are making the Programme available from this website to download and to print yourself before setting off for Cork. This is an endeavour to reduce the need for paper production. We will also have a mobile-friendly version which you can access on your phone over the weekend.
Riser Times have been allocated and a list is on the website. Each group is allotted 10 minutes to check on and off stage and sound. If you are not available for the appointed time, we will continue to fill the slots with the next appointed group. Please convene in the Millennium Hall and move onstage when prompted by the stewards.
WARM UP AND CHANGING FACILITIES
You are advised to book your own rehearsal room preferably in the hotel where the majority of your chorus is staying. This is not the responsibility of the Convention organisers.
Please note that there is no rehearsal space in the City Hall. You must arrive dressed stage-ready to the City Hall entering by the Eglinton Street entrance and not the front entrance. We ask you not to bring massive amounts of personal effects with you, it’s impossible for backstage volunteers to deal with this. Please follow Stewards’ instructions for storing and collection. It is the responsibility of each quartet and chorus to be at the venue in time at least for your backstage call. Please note any quartet or chorus arriving late may result in losing their allocated slot.
PERFORMERS’ ACCESS TO CITY HALL
You will be directed to the Millenium Hall for holding prior to onstage and will be going on from stage right and exiting by stage left. There are no curtains, performers will file on before being announced.
COMPETITIONS TIMES FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
ENTRANCE TO THE THEATRE DURING COMPETITION AND CONCERTS
As always, competitors will be permitted into the auditorium ONLY with your ID badge between performances. Please follow door stewards’ instructions. Tickets are being sold to the public for all events so please bear this in mind when you’re taking your seats.
MOBILE PHONES IN AUDITORIUM
Before entering the auditorium switch your phone to silent mode, switch off all buzzes and sounds and turn down the light. If you do not know how to do this then please turn off your phone completely as any interference will affect the ongoing video and sound recordings.
