Encantando
We are Encantando meaning “ enchanting” in Portuguese. Judith , Patricia, Brian and Kay all hail from the south of Portugal and have been eagerly awaiting our first outing to sing with other quartets in competition. Two of us are originally from Ireland, one from England and one from Bermuda, and we originally met in Bella A Cappella, the only barbershop chorus in Portugal.
At the end of 2018 we decided to join up and practice as a quartet, We enjoyed singing so much, and wanted more, especially more Barbershop! So we all jumped at the chance of singing together as a foursome, learning together and of course became excited about where this would lead us. Unfortunately the dreaded COVID arrived, and over the past 2 years several conventions were cancelled which we longed to be a part of.
We love to sing a varied repertoire. Ballads and Up-tempos, fun songs and songs that touch hearts. We love learning and sharing this wonderful gift of singing and music with others. In a nutshell, when songs touch us personally then we know that they are for us and we long to share our songs with others.
