Meet our 2019 Guest Quartets
Lemon Squeezy  - Killer Whales  -  Pzazz

Lemon Squeezy

Picture
Lemon Squeezy was founded a dark and snowy night in the beginning of February 2010. Since then, the quartet has developed a crisp and delightful sound throughout a big variety of songs, ranging from Swedish men’s choir to Elvis Presley.

The quartet grew out of the rich soil of Swedish choir tradition. Throughout grade school, all four members attended Adolf Fredrik’s School of Music, Sweden’s most renowned choir school. Afterwards, they all made the natural transition into Stockholm Music Gymnasium, and today all four are members of Zero8, Sweden’s most prominent male barbershop chorus.

In the summer of 2012, Lemon Squeezy won the Collegiate World Championship in Barbershop. Two years later, in Las Vegas, they achieved 5th place in the open International Competition, moving on to 4th in 2015 and an honourable silver medal in 2016. Now they are on the road to pursue further goals and good times together

Tenor / Alexander Löfstedt
Lead / Victor Nilsson

We are very excited to have Killer Whales as our guests in Killarney!

Pzazz

Picture
PZAZZ won the coveted gold medal at the LABBS convention in Bournemouth October 2015. They’ve previously enjoyed IABS hospitality when they attended the IABS in convention in 2016 in Cork.

The quartet formed in May 2011 and they are all members of the Crystal Chords LABBS chorus from Greater Manchester; between them boasting over 130 years combined experience of barbershop singing!

Away from barbershop, the quartet has two busy mums: Tenor, Sarah is a dance teacher, while lead singer Gill enjoys a diverse work life in beauty therapy, singing tuition as well as being an ambassador for the Down’s Syndrome Association. Julie, on baritone has her own business, running music and singing classes for babies and toddlers, while bass singer Monica makes audio learning tracks, and works part time in a well-established upholstery business.

We are thrilled to be performing as your mic warmers for the International Quartet Competition and wish all quartets the very best of luck. Find us in the bar afterwards enjoying a Guinness and a song!
