Rules which apply during Convention

  • ID badges must be worn at all times in clear view.  Those not in possession of a badge will not be permitted into any of the competitions or concert
  • Contestants are asked to comply with the wishes of the organising committee, stewards and volunteers
  • Contestants are asked to be in the INEC Lobby (outside the Auditorium) 8-10 minutes before their stage time.
  • No 'fifth wheeling' - joining in without invitation when a quartet is singing
  • Silence must be observed while singers are tuning up and performing on stage 
  • Children under the age of 5 are not permitted into the Competitions or Concerts
  • All performers must adhere to the programme times or incur penalties.  
  • Food and/beverages may not be taken into the auditorium, with the exception of bottled still water
  • Cameras and/or recording equipment of any kind must not be used in the auditorium.
  • While in the auditorim, any device which may create noise (e.g. smart watches, healthcare devices such as sensors, table, phones etc) must be silenced or switched off if silencing is not an option.
  • Smoking is not allowed in any Irish public building, bar, restaurant or transport system
