Here to Harmonise Youth Festival
This year marks the first IABS Here to Harmonise Youth Festival.
So what is the youth festival? This is a less formal contest experience where choruses may perform 2 songs, one of which is in the Barbershop style and the other of which is an unaccompanied vocal arrangement. For quartets, they will perform one song only which must be in the Barbershop style. We hope that people who have not taken part in IABS contests before might enjoy trying Barbershop through this festival, and learn lots about the barbershop world on the way!

Child Safeguarding at IABS
Groups travelling to IABS with youth members are reminded that this is not a youth event and the presence of adults is to be expected. The Board of Directors takes measures to ensure that IABS meets its obligations in terms of child safety and safeguarding at convention.
Youth groups attending are expected to provide some level of supervision with teachers, chaperones or other supervisors travelling with the groups.
IABS has 3 designated safeguarding person's (DSP's) at this event, pictured below. Should you have any concerns or need to make any report while at the convention, these people will be your port of call. Feel free to ask any member of the organising team if you need to locate them.
The DSP's at this event are (L-R)
Cherry Hartshorn, Noeleen Chow and Lorena Gillard.
