STAGE TEST TIME
Due to the number of contestants this year, there will be no allocated stage test times
REGISTRATION BADGES AND LANYARDS
The Registration Desk will be located at the Ticket Desk in the INEC on Thursday from 5-7pm and on Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.
We would ask that, if possible, each chorus appoint one person to collect ID badges and lanyards for your chorus/quartet and distribute to your members. Where possible no individual badges will be given out from a chorus batch.
WEEKEND PROGRAMME
Please note that this is subject to change so please check back as we get closer to the date.
We will also have a mobile-friendly version which you can access on your phone over the weekend.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Our official photographer will be on duty over the weekend and during all performances. If you wish to pose for a photo at the end of your set, she will facilitate that too.
Cameras and/orany other recording equipment of any kind must not be used in the auditorium.
VIDEOGRAPHY
There is no live streaming for this Convention but we will have videos of the various contests and concert out in a couple of weeks.
FACILITIES AND BOOKING REHEARSAL SPACE
You are advised to book your own rehearsal room preferably in the hotel where the majority of your chorus is staying. This is not the responsibility of the Convention organisers. You must arrive dressed stage-ready to the INEC Lobby. We ask you not to bring massive amounts of personal effects with you. It is the responsibility of each quartet and chorus to be at the INEC Lobby 10 minutes prior to your stage time. This is the area just outside the main auditorium. Please note any quartet or chorus arriving late may result in losing their allocated slot.
PERFORMERS’ ACCESS TO AUDITORIUM
You will be directed to the STAGE LEFT SIDE for holding prior to onstage and will be going on from stage left and exiting by stage right and out the side of the auditorium. Contestants may choose to be announced before entering the stage which will mean judging will start once your chorus/quarte is announced. Please notify the Convention Team on iabsconventionteam@gmail.com if this is your choice no later than 30 September otherwise we will assume you to be in place on stage before being announced when judging will commence.
ENTRANCE TO THE AUDITORIUM DURING COMPETITION AND CONCERTS
As always, competitors will be permitted into the auditorium ONLY with your ID badge between performances. Please follow door stewards’ instructions.
MOBILE PHONES IN AUDITORIUM
Before entering the auditorium switch your phone to silent.
