About Time
About time is Marieke Munter (bass), Liesbeth van Gisbergen (baritone) Katy Taylor (lead) and Natascha Blokpoel (tenor).
We have all been in various other quartets before, but in 2020 we thought it was About Time that we sang together. We sing in various choruses and other quartets and we have two chorus directors in our midst.
We usually rehearse every other week, working on old and new repertoire but also have coffee and cakes (and candy, chocolate, licourice, crisps....) because we obviously need to catch up. Rehearsal weekends are usually filled with sociability, lots of food, the yearly barbecue and “Flambé”!
We worke with various coaches to help us with singing, music and performance. In March 2023, during the Dutch convention, we were very happy to be finalists and reached fifth place. In October 2023 we went to the IABS convention in Killarney to sing with Mixed Nuts as well, which was a great and fun experience. Our photo needs no further comment…… This year we are participating in Killarney again to prepare for Quartet School in The Netherlands in February and Holland Harmony Convention in March in Apeldoorn AND to meet you all so we can have a sing together!

And now it’s About Time to sing again at IABS Convention 2024!!
